The weather is starting to heat up here in CA. Mr. Barney is feeling kinda lazy today. He did stay with me all day long. I have been working on some projects. The treasures need a little paint, glue, screws, etc. I am cleaning out a few barns and a storage area of treasures for the shoppe. It has been a while since I have worked on some projects. I do enjoy seeing the transformation. I will take some photos when they are finished. Have a nice weekend. The Green Peahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12364131004316166833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3845955321943748791.post-2837235042267179062012-05-06T08:14:00.000-07:002012-05-06T08:14:45.814-07:00Spriing Tea Party

This is the beautiful back yard of my friends Terry and Syd. Terry loves to decorate and have her tea parties. Syd is the wonderful gardner. They make a great team. They also spend many hours in the garden enjoying it with friends and family. I am really looking forward to having some real fun and a little more time off. This week we are adding some more lighting. My computer program has arrived and I will be learning how to use it! Oh, goody! Hopefully, it will make the bookkeeping easy. I have 27 people on the waiting list. I am going to start off with the larger booths first and as my things clear out, I will add some smaller spaces.

I am so happy to have sold this rustic, hand made piece above (lesson learned). I sold it three times. It was so big that it did not fit in two of the houses. After I sold it the third time, I asked the couple if it looked nice in their home. They said, it was in storage because they were remodeling their home....I sure hope it fits in when they are finished remodeling.

How do you like the color of this old cream can? It was used to hold nuts, bolts, sprinkler
parts, etc. It had been in the barn for about 80 years. It took four men to load it in my horse trailer. When I got home, I put it in the driveway to gave it a good washing, it was dry and dirty. It got so water logged and heavy, that we could not move it into the store for about six weeks. It had to dry out. So I cover it with a tarp and hoped it would dry out in the cold winter. It took several men to move it in the store because it was still damp. For a better display of my items, I turned it upside down. It sure holds a lot of treasures. The Green Peahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12364131004316166833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3845955321943748791.post-14737694950336438502011-04-09T05:39:00.000-07:002011-04-09T06:20:41.034-07:00My Favorite Single Number 5I had the chance to buy some vintage street signs a while back.
