Lazy Barney

The weather is starting to heat up here in CA.  Mr. Barney is feeling kinda lazy today. He did stay with me all day long.   I have been working on some projects.  The  treasures  need a little paint, glue, screws, etc.  I  am cleaning out a few barns and a storage area of treasures for the shoppe. It has been a while since I have worked on some projects.  I do enjoy seeing the transformation.   I will take some photos when they are finished.  Have a nice weekend.

Spriing Tea Party

This is the beautiful back yard of my friends Terry and Syd.  Terry loves to decorate and have her tea parties.  Syd is the wonderful gardner.  They make a great team.  They also spend many hours in the garden enjoying it with friends and family. 

Seven baby chicks

Three days old and the first day out of the nest. They are enjoying a drink of water.

Auntie Molly really wants her own family. Sorry all of the boys have found new homes. Just girls around here now. Polly had three eggs when the last boy left. I am still trying to figure out how she ended up with seven babies. Is this one for the books?

The New Farmhouse Table

This beautiful handcrafted farmhouse table is the newest addition at the Green Pea.

Can you just imagine enjoying wonderful food and family at dinner, or making special holiday memories around this great table.
I love the way that these place settings compliment the beautiful rich colored wood.
What a wonderful addition this hardware is. The industrial rustic look truly adds such special detail to the table.
To complete this table in style, matching handcrafted benches are in the works. So keep in eye out and I will post updates as this set comes together.

Grey Patio Table

I had some wood left over from a few store projects. So I had Jim make a rustic patio table with the wood for me. I used a grey stain on it. I really like the color.

Green Pea Farm Tables

Lately I have been painting a few pieces for the store. I am getting booted out of a couple of my (his) barns. They are full of projects, so I have been very busy cleaning them out. Somethings for the trash and some for the store....Next week I am off for a buying trip and some fun days with our daughter and her family. See you all soon.

Vintage Road Signs

I spotted these vintage road signs in my friends barn. It's been a few years ago that the speed limit was 50 miles an hour. Of course, they were not for sale.
